With over 12 years of experience as a software product manager, I've been in charge of all aspects of development, marketing, sales, support, testing, user research, and design. Now I am focusing on what I do best – understanding the motives of the people using all kinds of tools, and finding out what makes their experience of those tools a frustration or a delight.
I've worked at three large corporations – the College Board, Cengage, and Turnitin – and I've worked with the startups these corporations swallowed, so I understand the need to balance speed with a long-range vision that scales. I've worked with great UX teams, and I've learned how to exercise methods from the IDEO discovery process to find new solutions to seemingly intractable problems.
